１年２組は美術。作品鑑賞や美術室の使い方など、ガイダンスを行っていました。 １年３組、４組は校庭で陸上です。たくさん走ってへとへとなようです。

男子卓球部、文化部（パソコン、美術）のようすです。
卓球部は教室を使ったり、体育館を使ったりしています。 パソコン部は各自パソコンに向かいながらでも、コミュニケーションを取っていました。 美術部の１年生が描いていたメロンとリンゴのリアルさに驚かされました。 I've observed the activities of the boys' table tennis club and the cultural clubs (computer and art). The table tennis club uses classrooms and gymnasiums for practice. The computer club members communicate with each other while sitting in front of their computers. I was amazed by the realism of the melon and apple drawn by the first-year students in the art club.

１組は生活。修学旅行のまとめを発表する練習していました。 ２組は数学。先生といっしょに問題を解いています。 This is what the classes are like for Tomogaki's class. Class 1 is home economics. They're practicing presenting summaries of their school trip. Class 2 is math. He is solving problems together with the teacher.

１・２組は体育。５０ｍ走に取り組んでいます。 ３組は国語。先生の話を落ち着いて聞いています。 ４組は理科。タブレットをつかっての調べ学習にも慣れているようです。 This is what the classes look like for first graders. Classes 1 and 2 are having physical education. They're working on the 50-meter run. Class 3 is Japanese. They're calmly listening to the teacher's story. Class 4 is science. They seem to be getting used to research learning with tablets.

１組は社会。日本の地形の特徴を学習しています。 ２組は理科。原子記号に入りました。Ｈ、Ｏ、Ｎ…。 ３組は国語。アイスプラネットの物語、先生の発問に答えようと一生けん命考えていました。 This is what the classes look like for second graders. Class 1 is social studies. They're learning about the characteristics of Japan's geography. Class 2 is science. They've moved on to atomic symbols. H, O, N... Class 3 is Japanese. They're thinking hard to answer the teacher's questions about the story of Ice Planet.

１組は音楽。男声の歌声に女子から拍手が起きていました。 ２組は英語。タブレットで各自、発音を確かめながら練習していました。 ３組は国語。先生の発問に答えようと、一生けん命に考えています。 This is what the classes look like for third graders. Class 1 is music. Boys are singing, and girls are clapping. Class 2 is English. Using tablets, everyone is practicing while checking their pronunciation. Class 3 is Japanese. Students are thinking hard to answer the teacher's questions.

今日は吹奏楽部と女子卓球部のようすです。
１年生の入部を機に、２年生、３年生がぐっと大人になってきたように見えます。 自分たちが１年生のときに見ていた先輩の姿や、自分が理想に描いていた先輩の姿に、近づいてきましたか？ Today, I watched how the band and the girls' table tennis club were doing. It seems like the 2nd-grade & 3rd-grade students have grown up a lot since the 1st-grade joined. Have they gotten closer to the image of seniors they admired when they were 1st-grade, or the image they imagined for themselves?

今日は部活動結成が行われ、１年生が正式に入部してきました。
１年生の下校時刻も遅くなります。完全下校時刻や部活動ごとの計画表の確認をお願いします。 写真はバスケ部、バレー部です。 Today, club activities were organized, and first-grade students officially joined the clubs. The time for first-grade students to go home will be later. Please check the schedule for the exact time to go home and for each club activity. The photos are of the basketball club and the volleyball club.

4/17 新入生歓迎会
５時間目に生徒会による新入生歓迎会を行いました。
１年生はすこしずつ中学校生活にも慣れてきたでしょうか？ 拍手と笑顔のなか、２・３年生ががんばって発表しました。 We had a welcome party for new students organized by the student council during the fifth period. Have the first-grade students started getting used to junior high school life little by little? Amidst applause and smiles, second and third-grade students were working hard on their presentations. 
4/16 交通安全教室
５時間目に交通安全教室が行われました。
今年度も、登下校やふだんの生活のなかで、交通ルールを守るとともに、事故に遭わないように、くり返し伝えていきたいと思います。ご家庭でも引き続きお声かけください。 A traffic safety class was held during the fifth period. This year too, we want to remind you to follow traffic rules and stay safe to avoid accidents in your daily life, especially when going to and from school. Please remind your family too.

１年２組の数学、３組の国語、４組の社会のようすです。
授業開きで自己紹介をしたり、ワークを配ったりしています。 １組の理科ではたくさんのワークシートが配られていました。 だんだんと授業がはじまりそうです。 This is how the classes are going for first graders. In Class 2, they're doing math. In Class 3, they're studying Japanese, and in Class 4, they're learning social studies. They're starting with introductions and handing out worksbooks. In Class 1, there were many worksheets handed out for science. Looks like classes are about to begin.

東京駅に戻ってきました。
予定どおり、これから帰路につきます。 They have returned to Tokyo Station. As planned, they will now begin their journey back to Koriyama station.

１組は国立西洋美術館、東京国立博物館、上野動物園を巡ります。
２組は東京タワー、マクセルアクアパーク品川へ行きます。 ３組はサンシャイン水族館、上野動物園を回ります。 東京駅集合は１５：００の予定です。 Class 1 will visit the National Museum of Western Art, the Tokyo National Museum, and Ueno Zoo. Class 2 will go to Tokyo Tower and Maxell Aqua Park Shinagawa. Class 3 will tour Sunshine Aquarium and Ueno Zoo. Meeting at Tokyo Station is scheduled for 15:00.
